Foodborne Illness course
An important aspect of health is avoiding nasty germs that improperly handled and processed food can carry. This free online course taught Texas Epidemiologists how to identify and track down the source of illness caused by food. My creative director envisioned a 19050s gumshoe crime movie style to set the stage. I picked up that idea and ran with it.
My roles
Besides creating a look and feel for the course, I was in charge of creating every illustration. After storyboarding and creating the slides in Illustrator, I composed the elements in Adobe Captivate. This involved setting up timing to a narrator soundtrack plus making sure all pages looked perfect on desktop, tablet, and mobile. I laid out a landing page for users to sign up and learn more, banners, and email blasts.

Storyboard examples
Due to the narration and all the illustrations needed, I decided it would be best to show the client how things would function with storyboards. From there we could make tweaks and any other necessary changes before moving to production.
